Aidan O'Shea had an eye-opening experience trying his hand at American football

The Mayo forward was taking part in the second episode of The Toughest.

THE SECOND AND final edition of this season of The Toughest Trade aired last night with Mayo’s Aidan O’Shea trying his hand at American football while former Miami Dolphins Roberto Wallace wide receiver took up on Gaelic football.

In a change from the usual format, O’Shea didn’t take his place with a team but rather training with college players preparing to take part in one of the many regional NFL combines.

O’Shea said before he traveled that he fancied himself as a tight end and proved he matched up with the best in the business — in one element at least — when he ran a 4.61 40-yard dash, the same time as Rob Gronkowski.

Wallace was equally impressive in his time with Breaffy, experiencing all elements of Gaelic football culture.
